Showed up in a friend's LJ and I just decided to amuse myself here...

1. You've just died. What happens?

For me, Heaven. For those left behind, starts making me sad to even contemplate.

2. What is your most guilty pleasure?

Anything chocolate.

3. Favorite childhood cartoon?

This might come to a suprise to all the VOLTRON fans out there who know me, but I think for the test of time JEM just narrowly edged ahead. Well written cartoon, cool music, great characters, and enough action to hold a fair boy fandom for what was supposed to be a "girl's show".

4. What is your favorite place to go out to eat?

This is tough. Used to have a real thing for Tony Roma's and an interest in ribs, but their quality for me has gone down in recent years. Now it's hard to find a clear leader.

5. What was the last movie you saw, for pleasure, and would you recommend it?

ONCE, a charming movie about two people trying to make it through life and the music that brings them together. Track from this movie won the Academy top honor for Best Original Song in a film. Would recommend it in a heartbeat.

6. On balance, are you happy with your life as it is, would you change it a little or change it a lot?

I'd do whatever it takes (within legality and reason) to find a way to get married to the man who has supported me for so many years as a cheerleader, helpmate, best friend... oh too much to list... but it needs to be in a way that he feels balanced too. Otherwise it's not worth it.

7. What's the one possession you USED TO have, but don't anymore and wish you did? What happened to it?

A green stuffed teddy bear my great-grandmother handmade for me, out of courdoroy I believe. It went missing during one of our hotel stays in Hawaii (either when we first got there or when we left, but I think agewise it would have been when we first moved there from Japan). I somehow missed counting him as I put them away before Housekeeping came in the morning. After that day I never saw it again. I miss it less for what it was than for the care and love I know was put behind it.

8. You (as you are now, not a fictionalised you) are a FC in an episode of SPN. What's your role?

I'm assuming from the British spelling this refers to a British show that I don't know about. I'd certaintly be demanding for a part on DOCTOR WHO instead! (Don't think I'd quite be the right casting for TORCHWOOD...)

9. Name one person for whom you'd definitely take a bullet, and one for whom you definitely wouldn't.

Please realize that naming one doesn't mean I wouldn't do it for others... my sister Lesley without a doubt. As to the latter, there is only one person in the world, to which I'll just say no one who knows me since I left high school has ever met.

10. Worst case scenario?

Facing off with above unnamed person again... ever.

11. What do you consider your greatest accomplishment?

To date, that would be my book on the animation business. Writing and sharing and giving back with the rest of the world. Maybe mentoring the next generation from afar. I'll never know, but at least I've gotten the chance.

12. What's your greatest frustration?

Not being able to get everything just right. And by that I do mean everything.

13. For you only, not as a broad political statement: life imprisonment or death sentence?

Life imprisonment provides the chance, no matter how small, for repentance.

14. Jury duty. Ever done it? What was it like? Wanna do it? Thoughts at all?

Been called often but only served once, and I've done nothing that compares to that experience. It was a jury of six in a city council chambers. Small town stuff. Because of that, I don't want to say what for specifically, but it was small potatoes. We never really deliberated though, everyone was pretty sure he was guilty the minute we began and things wrapped up in five minutes. I wanted to at least discuss just to be sure, but realized very quickly that wasn't going to happen. I don't believe it would have changed the outcome, but it still to this day feels wrong to me.

15. You discover you've been drafted into military service (to a country to which you hold a citizenship). What do you do?

(Nearly) my worst nightmare come true. And I say this will all due respect, I'm the daughter of a retired military warrant officer. I am by nature more of a pacifist type, I prefer resolution over conflict. If 'conscientious objector' was something I could declare, I'd do it in a heartbeat. Past that, it's hard to say unless I was really, really there in that situation. I remember contemplating this a lot when Desert Storm came up when I was first in college and being glad I was a woman that couldn't be drafted, sorry to say.

16. Which fictional character could you most see yourself marrying?

Um... considering I'm trying so hard to get married in real life, not sure I *SHOULD* be answering this one... but if you must know, Lance from VOLTRON would have been a good candidate for quite some time there ;)

17. Describe the flag design of your personal utopia.

Not sure I understand the question. Anything honoring the written word.

18. Do you have a motto? If yes which one?

I am who I am... live with it.

19. What's in your pocket right now? Conversely, if you have no pocket, what are the three items closest to your right hand, excluding computer hardware?

Nail clippers. Stapler remover. Lamp.

20. What place most speaks to you?

Cheney, Washington. The place my Dad retired to when he first got out of the Navy. The place that I always will consider my hometown, even if I didn't move there until I was a teenager. The place that will always be Home.
