Progress, baby! (sort of)
May. 25th, 2006 10:38 pmWell at least in some areas. :)
Tonight I emailed Chapters 5 and 6 of my animation book to the editor. That's halfway for me. The goal is two chapters a month. Though with Con time fast approaching, and me being off to ComicCon and WorldCon for the full experience (well not quite with ComicCon, I'm not doing preview night), there will be a lot to do in a lot less time.
Nothing, and I mean nothing, new has happened with the plumbing. New shower is half done, still using old fixture. Sink is actually not hooked up, though the pipes are there, and the butcher paper still covers quite a hole in the wall of the main room I have to stare at nightly. Blech.
And what's really interesting, they put in new valves and hoses connecting up the OLD fixtures of the shower! They have the panel open and I got to say, I don't see how in the world they can hook up the new one the way it is. Maybe that's why they had to stop. No one's saying anything just yet. We'll have to see...
Yesterday I got off work just in time to make a meeting in Los Angeles hosted by the Animation Writers Caucus of the WGA, talking about how areas such as animation, video games, and documentaries do have some recourse for at least partial WGA coverage. Some of the information I knew, but in other areas it was nice to hear the progress that's been made recently. It was also another great chance to see christymarx whom I don't see as frequently as I might like.
Work is busy as well, but nothing I can really talk about. At least not too much overtime.
Onward to chapters 7 and 8...!
