You may recall my mentioning I at least opened up a suggested compromise offer to thr music company after the permanent person lasted 5 days.

They accepted it.

And the supervisor has signed off for me to go (albeit unpaid, which I understand) to all the days off I alreaday had booked this summer. After all, I didn't think I'd be working for them, so I started making plans to further myself in other areas and be able to see many of my friends.

Which means Comic-Con is still on (and yes, I actually snagged a hotel reservation for this from the Con website that's on a shuttle route!), and... oh, wow, I haven't mentioned this before... so is WorldCon, all days of it. Anyone else here going to WorldCon? It happens to be in Anaheim this year, I've never been, and Dad noticed it in his ANALOG and wondered if I might like an early birthday present like covering the admission cost for WorldCon. ;) I'm also interested in knowing if their writing seminar is worth getting involved in. I could use more growth on my SF and fantasy prose.

So now I just wait to see what lies ahead, but the animation, SF, and fantasy will always be part of my life, and no job elsewhere in this business (or out of this business) can supress that. Not to mention, there's still the book, which is a known quantity to them. As long as it is not a conflict of interest, we're OK.
