A few short updates on a lot of things
Apr. 23rd, 2006 07:26 amVery busy, which in most ways is a good thing.
Lots to do at the music company now that I'm allowed overtime, but nothing unreasonable as of yet. Was even able to catch an early all ages show from one of the Latin bands they work with in Hollywood this past Wednesday. My first "company event" if you will since quite a few from the company were there.
A fantasy story I wrote and submitted in February came back rejected, but I've decided to make the most of rejection. I'm giving it another once over, seeing where it can be trimmed and tightened by a couple thousand words, and plan to submit it to the workshop at WorldCon to see what I can do better with it.
Today I'm leading a workshop on journaling as a follow up to the 40 DAYS OF PURPOSE campaign where the concept was introduced to the church members, many for the first time. Interestingly enough, I started exploring the idea last summer before I even knew the church would do this, and it just seemed the right time to dovetail off that. However, the amount of response I got to an RSVP request seems to indicate otherwise. Regardless, I shall give the few students I do have my utmost attention.
