Last night I did try to get in a couple hours of NEVERWINTER NIGHTS, but was so sore from basically living at the computer all day long I couldn't keep it up. Pity because I was enjoying the point I was in at the plot of the game. Did realize that it had been June 10th as the last saved game day I had, so it's been a while since I've done any gaming at all. Says a lot for how busy I've been.
About to go out to Fullerton for the day. Church, lunch, the two classes, then the shoe's on the other foot as I do a little bit of a refresher course with Kevin's Lightwave 8. Yes I know most shows these days are Maya and 3D Studio Max, but in a crunch you take what you can get. Other than a couple small bits, I do have Chapter 8 pretty well laid out.
Next month should be a little easier. Post-Production (which I know well) and distribution (which I've been researching for a while, combined with what I already know). This current chapter just snuck up on me. August is just the last chapter and conclusion. Which is good, because between Comic-Con in July and WorldCon in August, I'll have even less time than I've had with the others. Though I'm madly brainstorming who might be great last minute resources to pick up at both those conventions that I don't have easy access to or who aren't already in the book. The biggest key is balance: due to my background, I already have spoken to a fair number of people whose background includes Sony, Nickelodeon, Disney, or are so freelance they've worked tons of places. Most of the current Warner Bros. crew were my old co-workers at Sony back in the day. Of course SD Entertainment too, since I've worked there. So now I'm trying to figure out who I haven't approached in hopes of keeping a wide and balanced approach.
Gotta run, got subway and Amtrak schedules to meet.
